もう一年だった、今日は２０１２年３月１１日です。(It’s already been a year, today is 11th March, 2012)
It’s already been a year since the 東北地方太平洋沖地震 (The Great East Japan Earthquake). One of the most powerful earthquakes in the world, with the 9.0 magnitude earthquake triggering powerful tsunami waves that reached up to 40.5 metres. There were many nuclear accidents caused by the tsunami, especially the 福島第一原子力発電所 (Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power plant) which spreaded the radiation affecting thousands of residents and causing them to evacuate.
Another natural disaster occured, on the 13th March 2011, 新燃岳 (Shinmoedake volcano) erupted forcing several hundreds of residents to evacuate.
I was lucky as i wasn’t at Japan at that time. I pray for the people whom still are not able to go back to their home, people whom lost their beloved ones and to all the residents that were affected.
Keep on moving forward Japan! 日本頑張って！！！

You know what made me really happy?? Its the fact that most of the comments said that Arashi is their inspiration.. There was even a comment saying that he/she wants Arashi to perform so that they could help inspire more people…

Just finished watching Arashi’s Meikyuu Love Song performance on FNS.. Based on the comments I’ve read before watching it, I was actually expecting something terrible but alas, I think that it was not that bad at all.. There were some parts which were indeed off-key. But still, I think it was not that bad at all.. In fact, the first chorus was actually a pretty good one to me. Ohno’s mic was definitely turned off or have a low volume I can’t hear him at all especially at the start.. And was it just me or was the intro really faster?? Or maybe I was just hallucinating.. I also think that Ohno’s voice on his solo was shaky because even if they were all smiling and all, I think deep inside they’re really affected by what’s happening.
Things this mishap made me realize:
1. I love Jun and Aiba’s blending… At the part when Ohno, Aiba, and Jun were supposed to sing together, Ohno can’t be heard at all so it was just Aiba and Jun and I think the two did a pretty good job.
2. I love Nino and Sho’s blending as well…
3. Arashi’s song would never be complete even if there was only one member missing. I really missed Ohno’s voice on the performance. I think the main vocalist is really important right??
4. Arashi is a group of 5 professional dorks… They were all smiling from the start ‘til the end. Though their voices were a bit shaky, they didn’t let their faces show that they were actually affected by what was happening..
Oh! Did I mention how handsome they all look at the performance and how good the dancing is??
Well, anyway, I know most of us Arashians love them not because they are the best singers or dancers in the world so I think there is really no point on being too much affected by this incident.. Arashi had once been laughed at and criticized by many but they managed to emerge from those “dark ages” and ascend to the top so I think this is just another dark point that they were actually able to emerge from since they managed to finish the song and all… So to my fellow Arashians… I hope that you won’t feel too bad about this… And to our dearest Arashi… To the 5 dorks… Omedetou for doing a great job!!! We will always be here for you no matter what.. ^_^
